Klankpoeder's roots are in Rotterdam. The five members know each other from the conservatory.
All band members contribute material to the repertoire. Sources of inspiration include the Brian Blade Fellowship, but also Frank Zappa. “Especially because of the humor and unconventional harmonies.”
